About
When I was seven years old, my second grade teacher asked us to write a book report about what we wanted to be when we grew up. Suddenly, the answer became clear to me: I wanted to write. After all, I had already filled a plastic bin with picture books and nonsensical stories I had written during my spare time. Later came an embarrassing slew of Saved-by-the-Bell-inspired romances, and later still came satires and song parodies. Since then, I have written online columns, had several articles published in Random Acts of Malice: The Best of Happy Woman Magazine, and written in-house titles for Sourcebooks, Inc., on a work-for-hire basis. I am also a virtual assistant for the popular article directory IdeaMarketers.com, and the research editor of Editors Only and STRAT, two magazine industry newsletters. Starting in October 2010, I will be a project editor at Globe Pequot Press in Guilford, Connecticut.
I graduated from Quinnipiac University in December 2003 with a B.A. in English and minor in sociology. I live in Connecticut with my husband, Mark (whose quirkiness, believe it or not, exceeds mine), and our two naughty little cats, Weiland and Staley (named after two of our favorite rock stars). When I'm not writing or editing, you can probably find me hiking, watching Boston Red Sox games on NESN, researching cults and group dynamics, or watching Asian cinema.

Hi, Ashtyn! I’m not the author of Shiver and Linger (Maggie Stiefvater is). I just reviewed Linger in my blog! I think that the third book of the series comes out next summer.
