About
When I was seven years old, my second grade teacher asked us to write a book report about what we wanted to be when we grew up. Suddenly, the answer became clear to me: I wanted to write. After all, I already had a plastic bin filled with picture books and nonsensical stories that I had concocted during my spare time. Since then, I have written online columns, had several articles published in Random Acts of Malice: The Best of Happy Woman Magazine, and written in-house titles for Sourcebooks, Inc. on a work-for-hire basis. I am also a virtual assistant for the popular article directory IdeaMarketers.com and the research editor of Editors Only, a newsletter for editors.
I graduated from Quinnipiac University in December 2003 with a B.A. in English and minor in sociology. I live in Connecticut with my loving, supportive husband, Mark, and our two naughty little cats, Weiland and Staley (named after two of our favorite rock stars). When I’m not writing or editing, you can probably find me hiking, watching Boston Red Sox games on NESN, researching cults and group dynamics, or watching Asian cinema.
